In an interview with TMZ, a rep for the club cleared the air around the false claims. The rep revealed that Usher had not tipped the strippers with fake money.

The representative went on to clarify that the singer had dished out authentic money on the dancers and not fake ‘Usher dollars’. He had in fact spent thousands on the women at the club.

Moreover, sources close to Usher stated that it was somebody from Usher’s crew who had left the ‘Usher fake bucks’ behind. They did it both as a joke and also to promote his brand new Vegas residency.

The singer took to his Instagram on April 12, to offer a response of sorts to the controversy. He posted the picture sitting on a chair with the fake Usher dollars cap on his head. The bucket hat features $1 dollar bills from Usher’s fake money.
